Knights Templar

During our tour of King's College, we were told about the Knights Templar and its history with London. Fleet Street has an "older" Knights Templar Church on one side and the other side has the "newer" church. We headed towards the "new" church and when we got there, it was not "new". At least not to us. This church opened in February 1185. To give you an understanding why I feel it is not "new", Canada was founded in July 1867. This building and many more in England are older than the Government of Canada.

Unfortunately, when we went to this church, it was closed to the public due to scheduled organ maintenance. As we stood out in the rain, we could hear the organ being played and it was beautiful. We took in the music for a few minutes. Hopefully, we will get a chance to go inside before our program is over.

We decided to make our way to the Sherlock Pub to meet our fellow classmates. The walk gave us more sightseeing opportunities and with the help of Google Maps, we reached our destination.
