I arrived a few days earlier than the British Studies Program to spend time with family friends who live in Notting Hill. They have seen a lot of changes in the area over time. I choose to stay there because it is my home in London. Not for the location, though it is very nice, but how I feel once my aunt opens up her door.
Portobello Market is fun. During the week, it slows down and you can casually browse stalls and interact with the merchants. Merchant stalls rotate, encouraging people to return on a regularly basis. I was warned about Saturday's crowd and in the past, just stayed away. But this weekend, I wanted to see just how many people would arrive before lunch. I quickly snapped the picture above. In the afternoon, you could barely walk through the street.
